Construction has begun on Ronnie's Retreat, a Tiny Home Program in Northeast Mississippi. This initiative aims to provide housing for homeless veterans, offering them a "hand up" as they work to rebuild their lives. Some units will serve as permanent housing, while others will be part of a transitional housing program. At Ronnie's Retreat, veterans can participate in various programs, including learning new skills or trades to help them re-enter the workforce. We will also assist them in registering for and obtaining benefits they have earned, accessing recovery programs, and much more.
We will also have our ESA/Service Dog Program on the same property. Veterans can learn essential ESA/Service dog training skills and, if eligible, participate in training their own personal Service Dog. Even if they do not need a service dog, they can still benefit from the comfort and healing our on-site emotional support animals (ESAs) provide. Additionally, they will have access to counseling services and the opportunity to speak with a Military Chaplain during their visits, among other resources.
Ronnie's Retreat embraces the motto "Peace, Worth, Purpose." Our mission is to give individuals the tools to regain their worth and discover or rediscover their purpose. We offer a serene setting where they can find peace once again. Stay tuned for more updates!
